High School Diploma Programs
Our online high school diploma program is a self-paced curriculum that allows students the opportunity to achieve a high school diploma. It is offered on-center through a partnership with the Excelsior Springs School District. The online high school program is offered through New Learning Resources
Students under 21 years of age may enroll in our Excelsior Springs Technical High School which is operated under the supervision of the Excelsior Springs School District.
One of our top goals at Excelsior Springs Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her GED/high school diploma prior to leaving the center. Our GED program provides detailed training for the five subject areas of the GED battery test.
English Language Learning Program
Students needing to learn English can enter our English Language Learning (ELL) program. Students in the ELL program are tested regularly to determine their language proficiency levels.
Tutoring programs are available where students are tutored in fine arts, information technology, language arts, math, reading, science, writing, and social studies by instructors or by fellow students (Peer Student Tutors). Students interested in getting into a tutoring program may contact their instructors or the Academic Manager.

Driver's Education is available to all students needing their driver's license.
Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC)
Our center is the only Job Corps center in the nation with a Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) program. This program is affiliated with the United States Navy. However, there is no obligation to join the military after graduation from Job Corps.
Students in the NJROTC program learn about leadership, naval history, citizenship, astronomy, oceanography, meteorology, naval ships, and sea power. Classroom instruction may be supplemented by training cruises aboard ships, orientation visits, and field trips to various naval facilities.
